Despite concerns he might be arrested, a hacker went ahead with a demonstration of mobile phone interception at Defcon yesterday. Using several thousand dollars worth of equipment, he was able to intercept phone data on networks used by AT&T and T-Mobile. "As far as your cell phones are concerned I am now indistinguishable from AT&T," he said.
